CSL Round 2: Shenzhen VS Beijing
The CSL Round 2 was one of the most exciting matches in recent memory as Shenzhen and Beijing battled it out for supremacy in the Chinese Super League. The match took place at the Guangzhou Evergrande Arena on Saturday night, and both teams were eager to get off to a strong start.
Shenzhen started brightly, with their attacking trio of Li Tie, Wu Lei and Guan Zhou all showing great form. They created several chances, but were unable to convert them into goals. At the break, the scoreline remained unchanged, but Shenzhen were clearly the better side. They continued to create chances throughout the second half, with Wu Lei and Li Tie both hitting the woodwork. However, it was Beijing who broke the deadlock in the 68th minute, with Zhang Tiefeng scoring his first goal of the season.
The final whistle blew shortly after, and Shenzhen had come away with a hard-fought 1-1 draw. While they could be happy with the result, they will know that there is still work to do if they want to win the championship this season. On the other hand, Beijing will take heart from their performance and hope to build on it as they look to secure their place in the top two.
Overall, it was another thrilling match between two of the best teams in China, and fans will no doubt be eagerly anticipating the next instalment of the CSL Round 2.
